BIO International Convention, the most important partnering meeting of the international biotechnology sector, took place in 2020 in digital format due to the crisis of Covid-19 from June 8 to 12.
Due to the crisis of Covid-19, the BIO International Convention 2020 had a new virtual event format, BIO Digital. This global biotechnology industry virtual meeting provided, as in-person format, access to key partners through BIO One-on-One Partnering, educational resources to help drive business through webinars, and pitch from companies to investors.
The program of the sessions focused on current topics such as Covid-19, digital health, business development, genetic publishing and the latest advances in therapies.
In addition, BIO adjusted its rates to the new format by reducing the price, which varied depending on whether or not you were a member of BIO (see BIO Digital rates here).
19 companies and institutions of the BioRegion of Catalonia attended this event:

The event brought together more than 17,000 industry leaders from 65 countries and hosted 48,500 partnering meetings. So, BIO is a great opportunity to get in touch with top executives and decision-makers who attend the convention, and to discover new players in the industry, set up collaborations and assess emerging technology.
