The fourth annual BIO-Europe Spring partnering event is less than four weeks away, taking place on March 8–10, at the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB). Despite the turbulent economy, the event has seen a steady stream of registrations since BIO-Europe in November of last year. To date there are 1,311 delegates registered from 806 companies in 42 countries. EBD Group, the producer of BIO-Europe Spring, expects over 1,600 decision makers to attend.

Due to the support of institutions and companies, Barcelona has managed to organize one of the most important European biotechnologic congresses.

Barcelona aims to gather more than 2.000 professionals and 1.400 biotech companies from 50 different countries.

The organisers and promoters of BIO-Europe Spring 2010, Biocat and EBD, expect good outcomes with the participation, alliances and investments.



BIO is the top meeting in the sector, held this year in Atlanta (United States) from 18-21 May.

For the first time, the BioRegion will give a conference as part of the official schedule of events, explaining the opportunities available in the sector and the cancer genome research being carried out in this area. Spain, and Catalonia in particular, is an international benchmark in this field.
