Together with Roger Mallol and professors Xavier Correig and Lluís Masana, Núria Amigó founded Biosfer Teslab in 2013 to market in-vitro diagnostic tests for the better characterization of cardiovascular risk and metabolic health, this research arising from the doctoral thesis of the two co-founders. A Physics Graduate from the University of Barcelona (UB), Master in Biophysics (UB) and PhD in Bioengineering from the Rovira i Virgili University (URV), she is currently completing her entrepreneurial training with an MBA at EAE Business School. She has managed the company since 2015.
“I’ve been passionate about the healthcare sector since I was little,” says Silvia Raga, CEO of DyCare. After finishing her degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), she completed her training with an MBA at EAE Business School. She has more than 8 years of experience in the medical device sector, in the hospital, academic and private arenas. In 2004, she joined DyCare, a company that designs wearables to revolutionize the rehabilitation process for patients with skeletal muscle problems. She has headed up the company since 2015.
Llorenç Coll holds a PhD in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the University of Barcelona. He completed his training as a scientific entrepreneur with various courses on start-ups, patents and licensing through Biocat. His scientific career has focused on the fields of cancer and genetics, as an associate researcher at the Institute of Predictive and Personalized Medicine of Cancer (IMPPC). There he founded the spin-off Aniling, where he is now CEO. Coll has co-invented the company’s first technology package, which was the first runner up in the Bioemprendedor XXI program.
Oscar Flores has a degree in Computer Engineering from the UPC and did his PhD in Biomedicine at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine Barcelona (IRB Barcelona) and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) before doing an Executive MBA at ESADE. While he was studying at this business school, he co-founded Made of Genes with Miquel Bru and is now CEO of the company. “I’ve always liked computers and I think it’s great to be able to use them to make people’s lives better,” he highlights
With a degree in veterinary science and pharmacy from the UAB and a Master in Project Management from La Salle-Ramon Llull University, Carlos Lurigados has worked in drug development and licensed the results to other companies or registered them in various countries. After his time as Head of Entrepreneurship at Biocat, where he promoted the creation of new start-ups, he founded FreeOx Biotech in March 2017.

Bernat Ollé holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Rovira i Virgili University and is now living in Boston, where he did a PhD in bioprocesses at MIT. He went on to work at a venture capital and start-up group (PureTech), where he helped found companies like Follica Biosciences and Vedanta Biosciences, which he has led full-time since 2015. In 2013, he was named best young innovator in Spain by the MIT Technology journal and in 2015 he won the Princess of Girona Foundation award in Business.
