BIO International Convention, the largest partnering meeting in the international biotechnology sector, will take place in 2022 in San Diego from June 13 to 16.
BIO International Convention 2022 is the most important partnering meeting in the international biotechnology sector, which will be held from June 13 to 16 in San Diego, California (United States). Each year, the Convention attracts more than 15,000 biotech and pharmaceutical leaders who come together for a week to discover new business opportunities and synergies. Attending BIO is a unique opportunity for companies and institutions linked to biotechnology to obtain information of high scientific and financial value, close strategic alliances, obtain financing for projects and new clients. Its one-to-one system allows you to close a previous agenda of meetings with other companies, investors and institutions. In the last edition of 2021, more than 27,000 1:1 partnering meetings were held, although in virtual format due to the pandemic.
The conference deals with a wide spectrum of topics ranging from drug discovery, through biomanufacturing and genomics, to biofuels, nanotechnology and cell technology. Likewise, BIO offers an extensive program that includes academic activities, networking events, company presentations, an exhibition space and seminars and conferences on new trends in biotechnology and technological innovations.

In this 2022 edition, Biocat and 25 companies and entities from the BioRegion of Catalonia have confirmed their participation: 14 companies and entities will have a presence with a stand (10 in the Spanish pavilion, 3 in the European pavilion and 1 with their own stand). In addition, two Catalan companies will be presenting within the framework of the fair: ADmit Therapeutics and Oryzon Genomics.

Previous editions
The 2021 edition of this fair was held in digital format with the participation of 3,405 companies - it brought together more than 6,256 industry leaders from 55 countries and led to more than 27,917 partnership meetings. Thus, BIO is a great opportunity to reach out to senior executives and decision-makers attending the convention and discover new industry players, forge collaborations and evaluate emerging technologies.
