The startups of the BioRegion of Catalonia, the Catalan ecosystem of life sciences and health, have raised a total of 445 million euros of funding in 2022, the highest figure recorded to date.
Venture capital financing has been the main driver of this growth (343 million euros) and represents 77% of the total capital raised. 6 out of 10 rounds have had foreign participation, mostly from Europe and the United States.
