A piece of news
Biocat is once again coordinating Catalan participation in the top global biotechnology convention. For the latest edition of this event, 72 companies and organizations from the country traveled to the United States.
The Biotechnology International Convention (BIO), the most important business meeting in the global biotechnology sector, will be held 22 to 25 April 2013 in Chicago (United States). For the seventh consecutive year, Biocat is coordinating the participation of the BioRegion of Catalonia in this fair, officially organized through the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX) and managed through the Spanish bioregions in collaboration with Asebio.
The latest BIO, held in Boston, brought together more than 16,500 delegates from 65 countries, 2,000 exhibitors and 2,900 companies, and hosted 25,291 partnering meetings (setting a new record for this convention). From Catalonia, 72 companies and organizations from the research arena attended, most with a booth in the BioRegion of Catalonia pavilion, making up 60% of all Spanish representation.
BIO 2013 offers:
Access and partnering for exhibitors (package price)
After the success of the latest edition, BIO is once again offering companies and organizations that rent a booth at the fair access to partnering as a package price. This option (Exhibitor Booth Partnering) allows participants to contact and schedule meetings with anyone else attending the fair, with one difference: the meetings will be held in the exhibitor’s pavilion instead of the Business Forum (private meeting booths). Thus, the Spanish pavilion will have marked tables, which the partnering tool will assign automatically as exhibitors request meetings.
Access with partnering included in the Full Convention and Convention Access options schedules meetings directly in the Business Forum area.
This informational dossier explains the different participation options available to companies and organizations from Catalonia.
To participate with a booth, send this application to ICEX before 19 November.
