The venture capital company Inveready -promoted by Roca Junyent Family Office, Caixa Laietana and exmanagers of various companies- has become one of the most active company in seed financing for biotechnology and new technologies projects, investment which is essential to back up projects of recently created companies.

Inveready has completed seven transactions in one year. Five of them focus on biotechnology and, according to the economic newspaper Expansión (30/9/09), before finishing the year it will close its entry of three new companies.

Most of the participated companies are Catalan and have a high technological level: Aleria Biodevices specialised in the manufacturing and commercialisation of automated instruments to simplify essential activities when developing new drugs; X-Ray Imatek which was created by three researchers who worked in a European program project and who developed a digital detector for mammography; and Sepmag Tecnologies are developers of equipments to speed biotechnological processes of protein purification and separation.

Inveready's objective is to create a portfolio of 30 to 40 participated companies and aspires to quote in the Mercado Alternativo Bursátil - MAB- (a Multilateral Trading System.)
