A piece of news
The newly appointed president, as his main project, plans to move forward with the sectorial plan announced by the Spanish Government last September.
CEO of Ferrer Grupo, Jordi Ramentol (Barcelona, 1951), will be the new president of the Spanish association Farmaindustria for the next two years. The General Assembly of the association met today in an extraordinary session to choose their new president, substituting Jesús Acebillo (Novartis). After more than 25 years at the multinational chemical company Basf, Ramentol moved to the pharmaceutical sector, working first at Lacer and then, for more than 10 years, as CEO of Ferrer.
The newly appointed president, as his main project, plans to move forward with the sectorial plan announced by the president of the Spanish Government, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero (see article published by Biocat on 8 September), which is expected to be approved in December. This way, from the pharmaceutical industry, he will be working with the Ministry of Health because this Plan will create a platform for lasting dialog between the Government and the Autonomous Communities. This will allow for a strategic framework of stability and make it possible to maximize the pharmaceutical industry’s financial contribution and achieve consensus in the regulatory arena.
