The Biotechnology International Organization (BIO) convention will take place next 17th to 20th June in San Diego (USA.)
As you may already know, Biocat together with ICEX and Genoma España (at a Spanish level,) will coordinate for second consecutive year the Catalan participation in the Spanish official pavilion in BIO 2008. The main objective is to represent and promote the sector, show its developments and establish new partnerships.
The Catalan pavilion will be distributed like last year in individual stands for companies (a total of 19 distributed almost in 200 m2) and a space of 30 m2 for Biocat, which will share space with organizations related with biotechnology interested in participating in the trade show. The participation in this common area is free of charge.

If you are interested in participating in the stand you will need to register. You will be included in all the trade show promotion material. In order to have all the information and to manage all formalities and actions of communication please fill in this form (Fitxa_Institucions_BIO_SAN_DIEGO_2008) before next Tuesday 19th February.
In relation to the financial help*, COPCA offers 950 € per person or organisation to cover travelling and accommodation expenses. Participants repeating this year, please notice that this year we expect expenses liquidation process to be far more agile after an agreement signed with COPCA which will refund expenses before the end of 2008.
Regarding the travelling procedure, Bestours, our travel agency, offers airline reservation and booking services in order to achieve the most advantageous conditions for everybody (group fares are being negotiated with different companies.) Accommodation at Hotel San Diego Marriott Mission Valley (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/sanmv-san-diego-marriott-mission-valley/) is already pre-booked for all Catalan pavilion participants.
