The third Tech Transfer Summit will be held in Lille (France) on 24 and 25 September, as a satellite event of the EuroBio 2009 congress. The summit aims to, once again, offer a key space in Europe to debate knowledge transfer and translational research in biotechnology.

The Tech Transfer Summit, organized by TTSummit Ltd. with support from the European Commission, fosters the sharing of knowledge and experience in knowledge transfer between the business and academic arenas in order for research to reach the market as innovation and be applied for the good of society in general.

Attendees will include CEOs and directors of companies and organizations from all life sciences fields, experts in intellectual property, entrepreneuring investors and biocluster management professionals.

During the two-day summit there will be a number of round tables that aim to raise awareness of best practices and professional experience with top experts in this field from around the world, including Jasbir S. Kindra from the US National Institutes of Health Office of Technology Transfer (24 September) and Greg Winter, deputy director of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology at Trinity College, University of Cambridge (25 September). Likewise, the round table on venture capital will include CEO of the Catalan company Genmedica Therapeutics, Alec Mian (25 September at 3 pm).

At meals, networking sessions will be held for attendees.
