B·Debate brings 17 international experts to Barcelona to debate current scientific knowledge on issues like sociability, responsibility and criminality on 12 and 13 November.


The third debate in the ‘Feeding the world’ debate series offered by B·Debate and the CCCB will be held Monday at 7:30 pm. The guest speaker is Wilhelm Gruissem, professor of Plant Biotechnology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (Switzerland).


The second debate in the series ‘Feeding the world’ organized by B·Debate and the CCCB will be held today at 7:30 pm. The guest speaker is Stefano Padulosi, researcher at Biodiversity International, a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research consortium.


Advisors from European parliaments and figures from the scientific arena in Catalonia met at the Catalan parliament, under the framework of the European Parliamentary Technology Assessment network.


These debates, open to the general public, aim to address society’s concerns regarding how we should eat, the safety of the products we buy and whether biotechnology can help create a healthier and more socially just food system.


This event is a meeting point for investors and companies with projects in biotechnology, medical technology, healthcare services or health-related information technology.


B·Debate, CRG and IDIBAPS are holding the debate workshops entitled "How Mind Emerges from Brain: a View into the Future" on 12 and 13 July 2012 in Barcelona.
