Scientists from the IRB Barcelona, CRG, IMIM and UPF will receive up to €3.5 millions for their research projects.


This is the provisional amount raised after closing the program on this public Catalan television station. Donations can be made through 31 January 2012.


These funds will allow for research into new breakthroughs in regenerative medicine and in the fields of surgery, pharmacology and organ and tissue preservation.


The 2011 edition of the telethon will be dedicated to regenerative medicine, and organ and tissue transplant.


The Fundació La Marató de TV3 has opened their call for biomedical research projects focusing on these conditions, which will be funded through donations to the 2010 La Marató program.


This is a record high for the program in the nineteen editions of La Marató de TV3.


Some thousand popular events around the country and the television program hosted by journalist Albert Om will raise funds for research into brain and spinal injuries.


The awards, driven by “la Caixa”, Barcelona Activa, Biocat, Genoma España and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, were given out during the Biocat Forum.
