The 23rd annual BIO-Europe is Europe's largest partnering conference dedicated to global biotechnology innovation. It is an opportunity to find licensing partners, technology cooperation or investment.

This year´s BIO-Europe partnering event will again draw over 3,800 industry attendees from over 60 countries, representing more than 2,000 companies for three days of high level networking. In addition to productive partnering, BIO-Europe offers high level workshops, panels, company presentations, and a lively exhibition.

Biocat will have a space at the booth of the European bioXclusters plus project (number 31), shared with the other 3 leading European clusters in biotechnology and health (BioM, BioPMed and Lyonbiopole), where companies from the BioRegion of Catalonia will be able to deposit their information and advertising material and discover bioXclusters plus initiatives for landing in foreign markets (USA, Canada, South Korea, China, Brazil).

Biocat Activities:

Biocat, in the framework of the European projects Boost4Health and bioXclusters plus, organizes several activities in BIO-Europe Berlin:

1. Boost4Health networking and pitching session

Monday 6 from 3:30pm to 5pm / Atlanpole Biotherapies Booth #91

A networking session within the framework of the Interreg North-West Europe Project Boost4Health where SME's from Boost4Health areas will have a minute to showcase their innovations in a fireside session and participate in a networking coffee to exchange business cards with the other participants. The act is reserved for the SMEs of the Boost4Health regions, with a maximum of one delegate per company.

During the session, attendees will discover the services that Boost4Health offers to SMEs, such as financial support to encourage transnational collaboration and a marketplace for validation services.

2. Global Gateways for European life science clusters and their companies

Monday 6 from 5pm to 6:30pm / Room M6

Activity organized by bioxclusters plus to provide information about the Gateways’ internationalization services, including soft landing, partner research and identification, as well as facilitating the development of research and business relations around the world.

3. Startup Slam

Pitching competition that offers entrepreneurs in the areas of the life sciences and healthcare the possibility of presenting their company in BIO-Europe. which offers entrepreneurs in the areas of life sciences and health the possibility to present their company to BIO-Europe. Selected companies will also have the opportunity to network with top-tier VCs and biopharma leaders over the three days.

Financial aids and discounts:

1. Biocat discount:

The companies and entities of the BioRegion have a discount of 300 euros in the cost of registration to this event. Contact with Biocat for more details. This discount is compatible with the early bird rate, which ends on August 31, but is not compatible with the discount available for ASEBIO members.

2. Travel vouchers from Boost4Health project:

The European project Boost4Health (with Biocat as a member) offers travel vouchers for companies that want to internationalize. Within the framework of BIO-Europe, a session of pitches of Boost4Health companies will take place, so that companies can use the Boost4Health vouchers to cover part of the travel expenses

To request a travel voucher, visit the Boost4Health website and sign up as a SME and the Boost4Health delegate in your area will contact you.

3. ICEX financial aid for the registration
