Facilitating access to investors in the London, Cambridge and Oxford ecosystem to companies from the BioRegion of Barcelona: this is the goal of The Investment Readiness Series in the City, a initiative from Biocat that will put entrepreneurs from the healthcare and life sciences sector in contact with investors from Britain's Golden Triangle.
The call is geared towards established companies looking for seed capital (from €500,000). A group of British investors selected by MedCity, One Nucleus and ACCIÓ, including venture capital funds like X, will select six Catalan companies. The chosen companies will pitch their project to investors at an event on December 12 in London. In addition to the investor pitch session, the event will also feature a networking session organized by Boost4Health.
The program is organized by Biocat and ACCIÓ, with collaboration from Newable, MedCity and Nucleus and support from the European Boost4Health program.Companies interested will also have the option to participate in the Genesis convention, taking place in London the following day (December 13), with exhibitors, conferences and partnering meetings.
The six companies chosen to participate in The Investment Readiness Series in the City will be eligible for a €500 travel grant through the European Boost4Health project as long as they meet the program conditions (have fewer than 250 employees and less than €50 million in turnover, not exceed the de minimis public grants and attend either the Boost4Health or Genesis networking session). Proposals for the first The Investment Readiness Series can be submitted online through October 26.
