Will future generations have its genome fully sequenced when they born? What measures should we take to make a good use of this data and maintain the privacy of patients, but also promoting a closer collaboration between academia and business?

In recent years, and increasingly, we are generating a large amount of genomic data that posed new challenges in the management and access to companies in the biotechnology and biomedicine field. On one hand, we have to face the ethical conflict of this data use limits at the same time that we direct the industry towards a closer public-private cooperation, and secondly, we have a change of paradigm in the legal framework. These are some of the key issues that will be discussed by our panel of speakers coming from companies specialized in bioinformatics and Big Data such as Roche, qGenomics, IN2 and Gendiag, along with an expert on ID Law Partners, and moderated by BIB.
