Biocat once again coordinates the Catalan delegation participation at BIO International Convention, the leading global convention and partnering event in the biotechnology sector that will be held from 6th to 9th June 2016 in the Californian city of San Francisco. At the moment, there are 42 companies and entities confirmed and 28 Spanish companies and entities.
In last year's edition there were almost 30,000 meetings between more than 15,000 international delegates.
Next edition of BIO International Convention will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco (California, USA) from 6th to 9th June 2016. One again, Biocat coordinates the participation of the entities from the BioRegion of Catalonia and will be the main interlocutor when making the necessary arrangements with ICEX, statewide coordinating body. The Spanish pavilion (booth #605), where is located the Catalan Bioregion pavilion, is very close to the Business Forum, and is conveniently located next to the main sponsors of the fair.
The Biocat call for participating in the event is already closed. If you have not signed up, you can do so directly with BIO.
New this year is the participation that includes the pass to Convention Acces & Partnering, which gives the access to the partnering system and arrange meetings at Business Forum, as well as giving acces to the whole program of the event. So this year there is not partnering in the pavilion, only in the Business Forum area, whether or not exhibitor. The partnering will also be extended to three and a half days begining on Monday 6th June.
The first day, on 6 June at 9 am, will take place the event organised by ICEX Spain Kicks off BIO 2016: Innovation in Biotech. From translation, transfer and licensing through spin-out and VC financing.
On this page you will be informed of all relevant aspects regarding the participation to the fair and other areas of interest. At the same time, we advise those interested in attending the conference to book travel and accommodation as soon as possible because the rate of occupany during these days will be at maximum levels.
