BIOSPAIN is one of the most important biotechnology events in Europe and one of the largest in the world, both in terms of the number of one-to-one meetings and the number of participating companies. Thirty-four percent of the delegates attending come from outside Spain.
For the first time in 20 years, BIOSPAIN returns to Barcelona, Spain's leading biotech cluster and one of the most dynamic cities in the world.
The last face-to-face edition took place in September 2021 in Navarra and gathered more than 900 attendees from 30 countries and closed more than 2,000 one-to-one meetings.

The main objective of BIOSPAIN - which consists of several days and takes place every two years - is to promote innovation, investment, collaboration and new business opportunities. The conference is organized by ASEBIO and has the support of the Host Committee made up of Biocat, the Government of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council.

More than 100 Catalan entities and companies have already confirmed their participation in the fair. In addition, 31 of these will attend with a stand. Pavilion of the BioRegion of Catalonia The BioRegion of Catalonia will have its own pavilion that will include a space of differentiated visibility for startups from the BioRegió de Catalunya. The companies will have their own space for work and meetings, as well as the possibility of making a pitch in the same pavilion. Participating startups will be announced shortly.

Companies from the BioRegion of Catalonia can enjoy the same reduced rate as ASEBIO member companies (595 euros + VAT, 200 euros less on the regular partnering entry fee than non-member companies). Academic and tech transfer entities can also benefit from a special reduced rate of 295 euros + VAT. The partnering will open in July 2023, from which date it will be possible to access the profile and request meetings.
Catalan companies can also contract directly with the fair a 6m2 modular stand, which apart from the space includes two partnering tickets. The price is 2,200 euros + VAT (a cost of 1,000 euros less than the standard rate).
