Biospain has become one of the most important biotechnology events in Europe that is always held in the same country and one of the largest in the world, both in terms of one-to-one meetings and the number of companies that participate. 34% of those who attend the congress come from outside of Spain.
The latest edition, in 2016, brought together 800 companies, 1,800 delegates from 29 countries and 233 exhibitors. More than 3,000 partnering meetings were held, generating 720 technology offers.
The Catalan delegation featured 103 companies and institutions and 5 of these (Iproteos, Mind the Byte, Ability Pharma, Enantia and Specipig) had their own booth in the BioRegion pavilion coordinated by Biocat.
This year, the ninth edition of the event will be held from 25 to 27 September 2018. It will take place in Seville for the first time this year and, as in previous editions, will feature a trade fair, partnering cabins and conference halls all in one pavilion. To get to the partnering area, delegates must cross the exhibition area, ensuring great visibility for exhibitors.
The event is organized by ASEBIO and co-organized by the Regional Government of Andalusia. The BioRegion will have its own pavilion in the area marked in red, right at the heart of the fair space.
The pavilion of the BioRegion will be configured for individual stands of 6 companies and Biocat. In addition, there will be a common meeting area where the logos of 8 companies that have not reserved a stand of their own but want to gain visibility at the fair having presence in the stand of the BioRegion will be included.
