Healthcare Investment Forum

Biocat, in conjunction with Esade BAN, Barcelona Activa and the Barcelona Medical Association, organizes the Healthcare Barcelona Investment Forum, a meeting place that, throughout the different editions, has positioned as a referent in the Catalan biomedical ecosystem. The event aims to bring together investors interested in the sector with companies that have projects in biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare services and health-related information technology.

The first Healthcare Investment Forum took place in 2010 and from then through the 20th edition, it has served as a springboard for more than 200 companies, after a selection process in which more than 600 projects has been studied. Companies that have participated in the Forum, later, directly or indirectly, have raised a total investment of 40 million euros among them.

Participants in the forum are early-stage or growing start-ups and entrepreneurs looking for an injection of capital to allow them to carry out their projects.

The sessions are divided into a panel discussion and the presentation of the projects with all types of entrepreneurs, from early stage start-ups to teams with innovative business development projects in the health arena. In addition to valorizing the projects, the event also includes a networking session.

A few months before the forum, a call for innovative projects is open. The project selection committee, made up of members of the organizing bodies, meets and selects the best projects, which will then be presented at the Healthcare Investment Forum Barcelona.
