In 2014, Biocat and CataloniaBio launched Lessons Learned: Sharing experiences to boost competitiveness. This initiative aims to allow professionals from companies in the health and life sciences arena to share their experiences and to network.
At the various sessions held throughout the year, experts share with the audience their knowledge, experience and viewpoints on cutting-edge topics that are key to the development of companies in the sector.
At each Lessons Learned session, 5 or 6 speakers are invited to explain what they have learned through their experience in strategic areas of knowledge associated with the life sciences. They present a wide range of topics that have a huge impact on the sector, ranging from product-development strategies to legal and financial issues (IPOs, intellectual property, drug discovery, managing clinical trials, etc.).
The meetings encourage open debate between participants and speakers, with an average of 50 people attending each session, as well as the exchange of information and knowledge among those with technical and managerial profiles. They are a good tool for boosting business competitiveness, fostering interaction and knowledge among the audience and the speakers and, by extension, relationships among bodies in the sector.
