On June 17, 2020, AseBio organizes a virtual event to present the 2019 Annual Report, the benchmark publication for the Spanish biotechnology sector.

The report includes the main statistical data on how the sector is evolving, compiled by the INE (Spanish Statistical Office) and analyzed by AseBio. It also has information on production (pipelines) and technology transfer (patents) for Spanish biotechnology companies and on investment in the sector. The main highlights from the report will be revealed during the event. There will also be interviews and a panel discussion 'Biotechnology for the Spain of tomorrow', with the participation of AseBio companies.

 

Agenda: 

  • 11.00: Welcome. Introduction of key speakers.

  • 11.10: Introduction and analysis of data from the AseBio 2019 Report, Ion Arocena, CEO of AseBio.

  • 11.30: Interview with Nicholas Negroponte , founder of the MIT Media Lab.

  • 11.45: Panel discussion: "Biotechnology for the Spain of tomorrow", with the participation of AseBio companies.

  • 12.15: Interview with Carlos Moedas , ex-European Commissioner for Science, Research and Innovation.

  • 12.30: Wrap up and farewell by Ana Polanco , President of AseBio.

  • 12.45: Institutional closure and end of the event.
