CleanMed Europe 2026

The CleanMed Europe 2026 will take place from June 23 to June 25, 2026. This year's conference will have a hybrid format on the first day (June 23), with both in-person attendance in London and an online option, followed by a fully online event on June 24 and 25.

Organized by Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) Europe, this annual event has become a leading platform in the health and sustainability sector, bringing together professionals from healthcare, industry, research, and civil society with the goal of advancing sustainable, resilient, and low-carbon health systems.

Regarding the content of the event, CleanMed Europe 2026 will focus on how to lead climate action in the healthcare sector, under the theme "Leading Climate Action in Healthcare."

This conference will bring together experts, advocates, and professionals committed to creating a healthcare sector that is not only resilient to climate change but also plays a key role in the fight against the global climate crisis. Through talks, workshops, and roundtables, new strategies, innovative technologies, and public policies will be explored to help build a more sustainable healthcare system for future generations.

CleanMed Europe 2025 had a significant impact through two major events. The main online conference held in June saw the participation of over 420 attendees from across Europe and other regions, who explored how sustainability can be integrated into daily healthcare practices. Topics of discussion included empowering professionals, engaging leadership, greening supply chains, and reducing single-use plastics, issues that deeply resonated within our international community.

Following this, CleanMed Barcelona continued the success by hosting a regional in-person conference in October, co-organized by the Mollet Healthcare Foundation and ECODES. Held in Barcelona, Spain, this meeting focused on the sustainability challenges specific to the Spanish healthcare sector, while also fostering local collaboration through special activities before and after the conference.
