The Biopol'H consortium is holding the third Bioàgora, a meeting on funding, innovation and driving initiatives in biomedicine, on 9 and 10 November in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona). The opening event, on 9 November at 5 pm, is expected to feature Catalan Minister for Health Boi Ruiz (pending confirmation), accompanied by Mayor of L'Hospitalet Núria Marín and president of Biopol'H Josep Antoni Bombí.

The program includes roundtables focusing on the knowledge economy and parks as an environment for business; debates on how to add value to technological innovation —with participation from Biocat Director of Innovation Dr. Marta Príncep and Director of Clarke, Modet & Co for Catalonia José Mª del Valle, moderated by XPCAT President Josep M. Piqué— and conferences on successful business models and how to find a common language among scientists, investors and businesspeople. There will also be workshops focusing on key aspects for raising awareness of initiatives and on persuasive management.

New this year, companies participating in the event will have the opportunity to request guidance meetings with experts on the following topics:

BiomediCINE, a biomedical film festival, will be held under the umbrella of this project.
