BioRegion Directory hits historic milestone: over 2,000 registered companies and organizations

Biocat has reached a new milestone: the BioRegion of Catalonia Directory now features more than 2,000 companies and organizations that are active in the life sciences and healthcare sector. This figure consolidates the Catalonia Health and Life Sciences Data Platform as a benchmark tool for all ecosystem stakeholders. 

Since its launch in 2008 and refreshed image in 2022, the platform has steadily grown and improved its functionalities. Updated continuously by Biocat, it provides fast, free access to relevant information on companies, startups, hospitals, research centers, universities and other key stakeholders in the BioRegion of Catalonia.

What can you find on it?

The tool allows users to run advanced searches using multiple criteria: name, subsector, therapeutic area, products in development, investment raised, turnover, year founded and more. This makes it easy to answer questions like: 

• Which companies are working with artificial intelligence applied to healthcare? 

• How many digital health companies have been created in the past two years? 

• Which organizations are working in oncology or minority diseases? 

Profiles include contact details, a brief description and a contact person, as well as information on the company or organization’s activity. Plus, the real-time indicator dashboard in the header of the directory allows users to track key ecosystem indicators: number of companies, investment volume, number of startups, etc.

An open resource for everyone
