On 5 and 6 June, Lyon will host BioVision, “The World Life Sciences Forum”. The title of this year’s event is a declaration of intent: From Life Sciences to Sciences for Life. With 95 speakers confirmed on the official website, the forum aims to create a space where innovative projects can build up networks of contacts with potential public or private partners. This year, the guest country is China, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the opening of diplomatic relations with France.

BioVision has been held since 1999 by the University of Lyon Foundation (Fondation pour l’Université de Lyon), an independent non-profit organization that seeks to bring together decision-makers from the academic, political, private and public sectors.  Their aim is to incentivize debate on the life sciences and their impact on society, as well as turning innovative ideas into real solutions for the people.

This international event will also house the second annual Investors’ Forum, focusing on funding opportunities for innovative business ideas in the life sciences sector.
