Lyonbiopôle, the France Biotech entrepreneurs’ association, and the EuropaBio employers’ association, are holding the Biovision Investor Conference on 25 and 26 March 2013 in Lyon (France), where companies from the life sciences arena will have the chance to present their project to a group of between 60 and 80 public and private European investors. The participating funds represent more than €10,000 millions in venture capital.
Companies interested must fill out the online application (with basic details), before 3 February. After submitting this form, the company profile can be accessed on the platform provided (Open Invest Platform) through 15 February.
A top-notch committee headed up by Roman Fleck of the venture capital firm Index Ventures (Switzerland) will select the top 30 applications from those received, taking into account each company’s business proposal, market, product or service, competitive positioning, clients, financial status and executive team.
The list of companies selected to present at the event will be announced on 1 March, and they will receive a free ticket for one person for the full program of the Biovision Investor Conference:
- Access to conferences
- Business presentation (7 min)
- Q&A with group of investors (8 min)
- One-to-one meetings
- Networking, coffee breaks, Gala Dinner, Closing Ceremony, etc.
- Complete informational dossier
Companies that aren’t selected but would still like to attend the Biovision Investor Conference (program of conferences, business presentations, networking, etc.) must purchase tickets. Biocat and Lyonbiopôle are collaborating on various European projects, thanks to which Catalan companies are eligible for the special "Association&Cluster fee" of €640, a savings of €160 versus the normal entrance price.
This meeting with investors coincides with the Biovision World Life Science Forum (registration/tickets are separate), organized by the University of Lyon Foundation since 1999. The latest edition welcomed some 3,000 executives and company representatives from 60 different countries.
