New report on “Best Available Techniques (BAT) and Best Practices for the Health Sector”
This report is one of the first outputs of the LIFE+ BOHEALTH project
The BOHEALTH project has presented a report entitled “Best Available Techniques (BAT) and Best Practices for the Health Sector”, which focuses on improving environmental performance in the health sector. The report is one of the first outputs of the LIFE+ BOHEALTH project (“Boosting Health Sector to reduce its environmental impact using an innovative decision-making process based on LCA/LCC”).
The report presents 50 best available techniques and practices to help reduce the environmental impact of healthcare centers. The improvements encompass areas like energy efficiency and renewable energies, water and waste management, and green procurement. Plus, each measure includes a description of the environmental, economic and social benefits of its application.
