InInvestors from the international Keiretsu network will attend the eleventh Healthcare Barcelona Investment Forum on 20 November at the headquarters of the Barcelona Medical Association (COMB) in order to learn more about innovation in medical devices and biotechnology projects being developed by nine companies from Catalonia, Andalusia and Madrid. In 2012 and 2013, Barcelona-based Keiretsu has contributed equity to 16 companies in the life sciences arena.

The capital needed by companies (early stage) and entrepreneurs participating in this Forum ranges from €100,000 to €4 millions:

  • Enenmce Pharma: held in part by InKemia IUCT Group, which is traded on the Alternative Stock Market (€100,000)
  • Reanimación RCPB: has developed an oropharyngeal reanimation device for cardiorespiratory arrest (€200,000)
  • Braingaze: spin-off of the Bosch i Gimpera Foundation that is creating latest-generation eye-tracking software (€200,000)
  • iVolution R&D: developing smart medical devices (€250,000)
  • Better Care: from Parc Taulí, has created a smart system to monitor critical patients (€300,000)
  • Bibitech Solutione: developing a urine sensor for diapers (€350,000) 
  • Ball Head System: devoted to innovation in dental implantology (€680,000) 
  • Galgo Medical: medical imaging software that came out of Pompeu Fabra University (€2 millions)
  • Avizorex Pharma: biopharmaceutical development in the field of ophthalmology (€4 millions)

The Healthcare Barcelona Investment Forum has been promoted for the past five years by the Barcelona Medical Association (COMB), Barcelona Activa and Biocat.
