NTE-Sener, a company in the Sener technology and engineering group, and Deltalab, which is devoted to designing and manufacturing single-use laboratory products, have signed an agreement to market the Autoplak device on the national and international markets. This is an innovative system designed by NTE-Sener that allows users to automatically inoculate up to 80% of microbiology samples currently carried out manually in many hospitals and microbiology laboratories. Moreover, this system standardizes processes, cuts down on intra-laboratory and inter-laboratory variability in results, and guarantees traceability throughout the inoculation process.
Autoplak also integrates the dswab transport and sampling system for microbiology samples, which uses a wide range of polyester flocked swabs to ensure maximum absorption in every sample.
NTE-Sener has created the brand NTE-HealthCare under which they will market their products, including Autoplak. The device will be manufactured in the new building Sener will have at Parc de l’Alba (Cerdanyola del Vallès), which is expected to be completed in 2013.
In addition to this innovation, it must be noted that Deltalab’s strength is their presence in more than 125 countries and network of 900 distributors around the world, including benchmark laboratories, clinics, hospitals, industries and universities.
