Phyture Biotech, a Catalan spin-off that works in the plant biotechnology sector and of which InKemia IUCT Group holds 21%, has signed a new distribution agreement with CQ Massó / Saequim, a multinational corporation that distributes chemical specialties and has a specialized distribution line for active ingredients for cosmetics in several European, American and Asian markets.

This contract will give the Spanish multinational corporation exclusive distribution rights to products developed by Phyture Biotech in Spain, Portugal, France, Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Peru.

The agreement came about after Phyture Biotech launched a sun cream using Arabian Cotton plant stem cells, the company’s first product, which was highly successful at the latest edition of the In-cosmetics fair. Thus, the contract includes distribution of Arabian Cotton and other products Phyture Biotech develops, including two new ones the company expects to launch in 2015.
