Preparations begin for BES Paris and BIO Philadelphia 2015

Over the coming months, Biocat will launch a call for participation to all companies and institutions in the BioRegion

With the mission of continuing to dynamize and promote the life sciences sector in Catalonia, in 2015 Biocat will once again participate in the two most important partnering events for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries: BIO-Europe Spring (BES) in Paris and BIO 2015 in Philadelphia. Both of these fairs are a great opportunity for companies and organizations from the BioRegion to promote their business by forging new alliances, opening up new lines of business and boosting their presence in foreign markets.
BIO-Europe Spring 2015
BIO-Europe Spring (BES), the spring edition of the BIO-Europe congress, will be held from 9 to 11 March 2015 in Paris. Each year, BES attracts top leaders from the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, financial and innovation sectors, from both well established and emerging companies in Europe (72%), North America (19%) and the rest of the world (9%).
The 2015 edition of the congress will offer partnering meetings, and an extensive program of conferences and workshops, business presentations (including Catalan companies Esteve and Almirall), as well as commercial and services exhibitors. The latest edition in Turin, Italy hosted 2,083 delegates from 42 countries, 1,209 companies and 61 exhibitors and saw 132 business presentations.
Biocat has brought two editions of BES to Barcelona, in 2010 and 2013, and in 2015 will have a booth it will make available to companies and organizations from the BioRegion to use as a place to make contacts and distribute promotional materials.
BIO Philadelphia 2015
Biocat is coordinating the Catalan delegation to BIO 2015, the most important biotechnology convention in the world, which will take place in Philadelphia from 15 to 18 June 2015.
Once again, the Catalan delegation will have a special area within the Spanish pavilion (booth #2301, coordinated by ICEX), which itself is in a privileged location next to one of the main e#mce_temp_url#ntrances to the fair and to one of its main sponsors. Early next year, Biocat will launch the official call for participation in the Catalan delegation to BIO Philadelphia 2015. At a very affordable price, companies will have the option to choose a highly visible location, with their own booth, or a partnering ticket for the pavilion. Here at Biocat we encourage any company interested in participating to send us a message expressing their interest and any comments they may have.
The latest edition, BIO San Diego 2014, hosted 3,166 companies (including 26 Catalan companies and organizations) and 15,667 delegates from 66 countries, representing leading biotechnology firms, the top 25 pharmaceutical companies, the 20 best CROs and CMOs, and more than 300 academic institutions.
This biotechnology event, the most influential in the world, will have more than 1,700 exhibitors at the upcoming edition, as well as sessions covering the hottest topics in cutting-edge science, as well as daily networking events and one-to-one partnering meetings.
