From June 16 to 19, 2025, the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center will host a new edition of the BIO International Convention, the world’s leading partnering event for the biotechnology and life sciences sector. The event will bring together more than 1,100 companies, academic institutions and organizations from over 30 countries, with the aim of forging strategic alliances, collaboration agreements, and new international business opportunities.

Once again, the BioRegion of Catalonia will have a strong presence at the convention. The Catalan delegation will include innovative startups, research centers, hospitals and universities, all taking part in partnering sessions, project presentations and networking activities to foster new collaborations and attract funding for research and development. According to forecasts, 51 companies and organizations from Catalonia —16% more than in the previous edition— will be part of the Spanish delegation of 84 companies, representing 61% of the national total, with nearly 90 professionals attending the convention. This figure consolidates Catalonia’s leadership in the Spanish biotech sector and strengthens its international projection.
