About Tech Transfer Day 2026

On May 5th at 9:30 AM, the 5th edition of Tech Transfer Day will be held in Barcelona. This is the annual meeting of the Technology Transfer and Innovation Offices from universities, research centers, health research institutes, and technological centers of the BioRegion.

The session will include various debates, presentations, and networking sessions, and new developments from the sector and Biocat’s activities focused on promoting technology transfer will be presented.

This is how the previous edition went

The previous edition brought together professionals from the innovation and technology transfer sector, starting with the institutional welcome by Robert Fabregat (Biocat) and Begoña Benito (VHIR). The day included a roundtable on the indicators of technology transfer offices, followed by networking sessions. Topics such as artificial intelligence applied to innovation and the presentation of funds and initiatives for creating biotechnology startups by Ysios Capital were also discussed. VHIR presented its new innovation process, and Biocat presented its programs. The day concluded with a cocktail that encouraged interaction among attendees.
