The deadline to register is 7 November
ACCIÓ is calling all Catalan companies from the biopharma, medtech and automobile sectors for an Institutional and Trade Mission to Japan and South Korea from 22 to 28 February 2015. The main aim of this mission is to establish and boost business relations with these two countries. In order to achieve this goal, ACCIÓ has set up a specific agenda that will allow participating companies to hold group and individual meetings with Japanese and Korean institutions and companies.
Biocat, CataloniaBio, Fenin, Turisme de Catalunya, the Automotive Cluster of Catalonia, Cluster Moto and the Commerce, Crafts and Fashion Consortium are helping organize this mission.
It isn’t just chance that this mission is to Japan and South Korea. Japan is the second largest pharmaceutical market in the world and the first in imports. It is also second in terms of medical technology, which is also mainly an import market. South Korea is playing a growing role in the global biopharmaceutical sector, thanks to the South Korean government’s hefty investment in R&D. This has made Seoul the leading city in Asia in number of clinical trials.
The registration fee for the mission is €350 and participating companies will be eligible for a €1,400 grant for travel expenses. The deadline to register, on the ACCIÓ website, is 7 November.
