Barcelona making strides in connecting healthcare companies to investors
The Barcelona Medical Association, ESADE BAN, Biocat, and Barcelona Activa are organizing the 4th edition of the Barcelona Healthcare Investment Forum.

The 4th edition of the Barcelona Healthcare Investment Forum, organized by the Barcelona Medical Association (COMB), ESADE BAN (the ESADE Business Angels Network, promoted by the school’s Alumni’s Entrepreneurs and Investors Club), Biocat and Barcelona Activa, will be held on 10 March in the Events Room at the COMB headquarters. This specialized forum is a place for investors to meet companies seeking funding for projects in biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare services, or IT for healthcare.
The call for projects is currently open. All companies are eligible (not just those that are members or associates of the promoting agencies). To submit a project, simply fill out this form and send it out before 20 February 2011.
Project selection
The organizing agencies will designate a project selection committee comprising members of these agencies plus experts from the healthcare sector and from the private investment arena. On 1 March the committee will meet to vote on the eight to ten best projects submitted. The authors of these projects will then present their work first hand to investors and attendees at the Forum. At the previous edition of the Forum twelve projects were presented and nearly 100 investors participated.
The companies whose projects are chosen will not have to pay any tax for their presentation, award, or funding received.

6:00. to 7:00 pm Second round of project presentations (four companies)
7:00 to 8:00 pm Networking cocktail hour
Through dedicated meeting spaces, the Forum will provide an ideal atmosphere for companies and investors to make initial contacts.
