BILAT USA 2.0 to hold workshop on enhancing innovation collaboration through policy measures

As part of the activities to foster innovation collaboration, the European BILAT USA 2.0 project, which Biocat is a partner in, is holding an event entitled Towards enhanced EU-US innovation collaboration through policy measures on 14 January in Brussels.
One of the main goals of this workshop will be to provide policy-makers with feedback from companies, highlighting the hurdles, challenges and best practices in companies involved in transatlantic collaboration. Additionally, it also aims to allow for exchange of recommendations on policy measures that would help companies overcome these hurdles and improve collaboration in Research, Technology, Development and Innovation (RTDI) between the European Union and the United States.
This event is a policy workshop that will be a precursor to the conference on innovation entitled How to integrate the innovation dimension in the EU-U.S. S&T Agreement also being held by the BILAT USA 2.0 project on 14 and 15 January in Brussels. The goal of this conference is to share the good Practices and promote the integration of innovation between the European Union and the United States.
All those who register for the event will receive the policy report beforehand, summarizing the ideas collected at the Accelerating EU-US business collaboration in health/e-health Research & Innovation: Opportunities, Barriers and Best Practices workshop held on 20 June in Boston.
This workshop is particularly geared towards policy-makers in the European Union and the United States: representatives of the European Commission, representatives of Member States of the European Union, active policy-makers at the EU level or from Member States, representatives of the government of the United States and policy-makers from significant political institutions in the United States, as well as representatives of companies (SMEs, large corporations, business- or innovation-support structures, etc.).
There is no charge to participate in this event, although those interested must register beforehand as spots are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
BILAT USA 2.0 is a European bilateral coordination project that aims to enhance and develop partnerships and collaborations in science, technology and innovation between the European Union and the United States.
