Catalonia, towards a more personalized medicine
The Connect-EU Groups in Materials, Health and Medical Technologies are organizing a 'Brokerage Event' to transfer knowledge in a field in which Catalonia is a leader.

BY BIOCAT
In just a few short years, Catalonia has positioned itself as a hub for the health and life sciences and is now a leader in fields like research in personalized medicine. Personalized medicine is a new area of knowledge where a number of different disciplines converge (genetics, medical devices, regenerative medicine, among others), which will allow for individualized treatment of each patient. Experts say that we must take one step further, meaning that we must move the business fabric and research of excellence towards this new area, with European policies as a benchmark framework.
Thus, on 8 November, the Connect-EU Groups in Materials, Health and Medical Technology, with collaboration from ACC1Ó and the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR), will hold a Brokerage Event geared towards hospitals, companies and research groups that work in the field of personalized medicine.
This event aims to bring together researchers, and organizations that supply and demand medical technology to foster knowledge and technology transfer and the development of new joint R&D&i projects, as well as learning about calls from the European Commission.
