The Orbital 40 Science and Technology Park, in Terrassa, has named Ramon Palacio (Barcelona, 1955) as its new director. Palacio has over 20 years experience in management and consulting at Telefónica España, Arthur Andersen (now Deloitte), Telefónica Sistemas, Centrisa (now INDRA), Landata and Alcatel. He also founded and was director of the consulting firm Xponent Triple AQ and served as managing director of the Teytel telecommunications group.

Palacio studied telecommunications engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and earned an MBA in corporate management from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).

As the new director of Orbital 40, Palacio’s responsibilities will include developing a strategic plan, and managing relations with other institutions and with businesses. He will maintain his ties with Col·legi d'Enginyers de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya, where he serves as board secretary, and with Cercle per al Coneixement-Barcelona Breakfast, where he serves as vice president of the board.
