Four organizations from the BioRegion, finalists for the Innovation Days Award in Paris

The Clínic Foundation for Biomedical Research (FCRB), VCN Biosciences, the University of Barcelona (UB) Peptides Group and the UB Asic Design Laboratory are among the 15 finalists for the Innovation Award at the Innovation Days 2012 congress, which will be held in Paris from 1 to 3 October. The Catalan companies and research organizations will defend their projects before a panel of judges, alongside the rest of the finalists, on 2 October. The winner will receive €100,000 including a cash prize and a year of free services from the Universal Medica Group (consultancy specializing in the health sector located in Paris with branches in Philadelphia and Shanghai).
In 2011, Innovation Days brought together 550 representatives from pharmaceutical companies, public research groups, early-stage biotechnology companies, investors and technology-transfer and intellectual-property professionals from France and 17 other countries, including Spain. The event includes:
- One-to-one partnering meetings (more than 500 held in 2011)
- Plenary sessions and conferences
- Presentations on biotechnology companies
- Exhibition area
Biocat is one of the organizations collaborating on this congress, together with GSK, Ipsen, MSD, Sanofi, and the Swiss Biotech Association, among others.
