Digital health platform iGlobalMed has closed a €300,000 round of funding. With this operation, co-founder of Conector Carlos Blanco and mentors like Marcos Alves (El Tenedor), Jorge Blasco (Boutiquesecret), Santi Sánchez (Openshopen), and business angels from the ESADE-BAN network and investment firms like Sitka Capital and Civeta have taken a stake in the company.
After its time in the Conector Startup Accelerator and receiving a loan from the Catalan Institute of Finance (ICF), iGlobalMed has consolidated its presence on the global market and is currently the only e-health platform to have reached deals with four of the five large hospital groups in Spain. In Catalonia, it is the only platform to have agreements with physicians at Teknon, Dexeus and Clínica Sagrada Família.
The company’s technology puts individual patients directly in contact with doctors, whether because they don’t have private medical insurance, want a second opinion, are on the waiting list or come for what is known as medical tourism.
