The third edition of Innovation Days, an event to promote technology transfer and collaboration on projects in the life sciences field organized by the French group Universal Medica, will be held from 1 to 3 October 2012 in Paris. In 2011 the congress brought together 550 representatives from pharmaceutical companies, public research groups, early-stage biotechnology companies, investors and professionals in technology transfer and intellectual property from France and 17 other countries, including Spain.

Biocat is one of the organizations collaborating on this congress, together with GSK, Ipsen, MSD, Sanofi, and the Swiss Biotech Association, among others.

Innovation Days features:

  • One-to-one partnering meetings (more than 500 were held in 2011)
  • Plenary sessions and conferences
  • Presentations on biotechnology companies
  • Exhibition area

This third edition will also include a satellite event, on 3 October, with conferences on access to emerging markets: China Market Access and Russian Market Access. Another attractive feature of the event is the Innovation Prize, with a €100,000 grant and one year free services from the Universal Medica Group, announced on the Biocat website in March. Of the roughly one hundred applications received from various EU countries, the panel of judges has selected 15 finalists –four of which are from Catalonia- to present their projects under the framework of the congress, where the winner will be announced.

Companies from the BioRegion of Catalonia have a discounted registration price:
