ASEBIO Investor Day will take place in Barcelona on 26 and 27 September, with investors from around Spain and Europe meeting with biotech companies. The event, organized by Asebio with collaboration from Biocat, Barcelona Science Park (PCB) and ICEX, will be divided into two parts: an investment forum on 27 September and a workshop with Johnson & Johnson Innovation–JLABS on 26 September.

The investment forum is a great opportunity for companies in the biotechnology sector, as well as universities and research centers, to pitch their project and hold partnering meetings with investors. Some of the investors who will be attending include: Business Angels Network of Catalonia (BANC), BioSeed CapitalCaixa Capital RiscCDTIColumbus Venture PartnersCRB Inverbío and DCN Ventures. From the requests received, 30 companies or projects will be selected to give their pitch at the forum. Innovative biotech companies interested in better communicating their business plan to investors, as well as improving basic aspects of business development, may participate for free in the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Training Day on 26 September. Communicating the potential of the discoveries of a company, university or research center can be very complicated, which is why Lilian Alcaraz, director of new ventures and transactions at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, will share some tricks and practical advice on preparing an executive summary for investors. Additionally, Rick Davis, senior director of new ventures and transactions at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, will expand on this information by teaching participants the key business development skills needed to successfully assess and manage strategic alliances and other potential opportunities for growth. The workshop is limited to 120 participants and anyone interested must sign up using the online form.
