New CaixaImpulse call for projects in the healthcare and life sciences arena

The “la Caixa” Foundation and “Caixa Capital Risc”, with collaboration from the EIT Health consortium, have opened the 2017 call for the CaixaImpulse Program.
This call is part of the EIT Health acceleration programs and is geared towards researchers at universities, hospitals and non-governmental organizations that are working on projects in the healthcare and life sciences arena and want to transfer the results to create a spin-off or through a licensing deal.
The 23 best projects submitted will receive up to €70,000 to develop the project; help from expert mentors, consultants and businesspeople from the sector; contact with companies, entrepreneurs and investors to assess their business plans and generate opportunities; and specialized training in key areas like project management, technology transfer, financial tools and negotiations.
The deadline to submit proposals is 1 March 2017 and all supporting documents must be sent by 13 March 2017.
