Biocat and the Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), under the framework of the Oncocat network and the BioNanoMed Catalunya alliance, are organizing the Industry-Academia-Clinic Forum New trends in nanomedicine for oncology diagnostics and therapy on 25 October 2012 in Barcelona. The aim of this event is to foster direct contact among researchers, clinical professionals and business executives and facilitate the identification of common interests and possible collaborations. “We especially want to highlight the presence of clinical groups that will share their real, current needs, thus making the meeting even more useful,” explains Carlos Lurigados, project director in the Biocat Innovation Department.
Open call for presentations from companies and research groups
The event will be divided into two parts. In the morning, various companies and basic and clinical research groups will present their experience, technology, interests, offers of and need for collaboration, etc. in a 5-minute presentation. In the afternoon, they will be able to hold partnering sessions with any of the participants interested and with whom, probably, they have identified affinities or common interests.
Companies and clinical research groups interested in giving a presentation must send an email to clurigados@biocat.cat (Deadline: 19 September 2012).
The workshop agenda and registration will be published shortly on the Biocat and CIBER-BBN websites.
