Barcelona Health Innovation Week 2026 will kick off with the presentation of the BioRegion of Catalonia Report 2025, which this year will also mark the start of Biocat’s 20th anniversary celebration.

From February 23 to February 27 2026, Barcelona Health Innovation Week (BHIW) will once again turn Catalonia into the epicenter of health innovation, bringing together the main players of the ecosystem to showcase the most outstanding projects in innovation, investment, and networking.
This is a collective and completely free initiative aimed at generating connections, creating synergies, and improving the positioning of the BioRegion of Catalonia as an international reference. The week will begin with the presentation of the BioRegion of Catalonia Report 2025, which this year will also serve as the kickoff for Biocat’s 20th anniversary celebration.
How to register your activity
Being part of BHIW is a unique opportunity to promote your organization within Catalonia’s health innovation ecosystem. Activities will receive prominent exposure through BHIW’s digital channels and official website, reaching a wide specialized audience. If you want your organization to be part of BHIW, you simply need to:
- Organize your own health and innovation-related activity (talk, workshop, debate, online or in-person event, etc.).
- Manage the space, logistics, and registrations for the activity.
- Complete the registration form, which will open soon. You can submit your proposal even if you don’t have all the details finalized; Biocat will help you complete it.
How was Barcelona Health Innovation Week 2025?
Barcelona Health Innovation Week 2025 closed its third edition with a record number of participants, with over 3,250 professionals involved and 52 sector entities organizing a total of 55 activities. These figures reflect steady growth, increasing from 20 activities in 2023, to 43 in 2024, up to 55 in the latest edition. The most attended sessions covered topics such as digital health, artificial intelligence applied to health, advanced therapies, and science, with great reception also for visits to centers and networking activities.
Additionally, the presentation of the BioRegion Report 2024, which celebrated the 10th anniversary of this landmark document, attracted over 1,100 attendees in a commemorative event and demonstrated the importance and impact of health innovation in Catalonia.
