Sixth meeting of healthcare companies and investors in Barcelona

The Healthcare Investment Forum, to be held on 16 February, is co-organized by the Barcelona Medical Association, Esade BAN, Barcelona Activa and Biocat.

The sixth Barcelona Healthcare Investment Forum, which will be held on 16 February 2012 at the Barcelona Medical Association (COMB), will once again give Catalan companies and entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their projects to investors from the sector and from Esade BAN in order to find the funding they need to move forward with their projects. This event is driven by the COMB, Esade BAN, Barcelona Activa and Biocat.

Company participation

The call for projects is open to all types of companies (not only those that are members or associates of the promoting bodies) and teams with innovative business development projects in the field of biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare services and health-related information technology.

The projects must be submitted using this online form (deadline 2 February 2012). All information required must be provided in a precise, succinct way. The one-page document generated using this information (project profile) is key to attracting the investors’ attention and interest. All sections of the profile for each project (Your Private Site) must be completed in order for the proposal to be considered (if not the project will not be accepted for the Investment Forum):

  • Company profile
  • Business Summary
  • Financial Information (economic perspectives for the coming five years)
  • Pitch (attach 10-minute PPT or PDF presentation on the project)
  • Documents (attach CV of the team, Esade BAN rules and regulations duly signed, and any additional documents deemed necessary)
  • Supplemented Material

A committee, made up of members of the promoting bodies and experts from the sector, will vote to choose the best 8-10 projects submitted. These projects will be presented at the Investment Forum by the entrepreneurs themselves before investors and others in the audience.

Investor participation

Throughout the Investor Forum, specific spaces will be available for participating companies and investors to meet. Investors interested in attending need only confirm attendance.

General participation

In addition to the companies presenting projects and the investors, this event is also open to businesspeople and professionals from the sector. To join the audience, sign up.
