Spanish Patent and Trademark Office opens 2014 call for subsidies for patents and utility models
The deadline for applications is 24 April 2014
The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) has launched a call for proposals for subsidies to foster patent applications and utility models in Spain and abroad.
The key aims of these subsidies are to promote international protection of technology through patents or utility models and to foster competitiveness among entities in the private sector that have moved beyond the national market. Moreover, they also aim to protect national inventions of SMEs and individuals through patents or utility models.
This is how the SPTO is encouraging the use of Industrial Property as a tool to access global markets. The calls are for:
- Subsidies to extend a patent or utility-model application
- Subsidies for activities carried out according to international PCT procedure
- Subsidies for national patent or utility-model applications
Applications may be submitted online through 24 April 2014.
More information is available on the SPTO website.
