2025 BioRegion Report Presentation
On February 19, 2026, the presentation of the 2025 BioRegion of Catalonia Report was held at the L’Illa Auditorium in Barcelona.
The event featured institutional representation from the Government of Catalonia, a presentation of the main BioRegion indicators, and several panel discussions with sector experts.
Published since 2009 by Biocat, this report is the official reference publication for the life sciences and health sector in Catalonia.

The presentation of the 2025 BioRegion of Catalonia Report brought together institutional representatives, business leaders, and international experts to analyze the results and challenges of the life sciences and health sector, coinciding with Biocat’s 20th anniversary.
With broad participation from ecosystem stakeholders, the event combined the presentation of key indicators with several panel discussions focused on growth levers, healthcare system transformation, and Catalonia’s international positioning.
The day also highlighted digitalization, artificial intelligence, and investment as drivers of competitiveness and marked the start of the celebration of two decades of ecosystem development led by Biocat.

Barcelona Health Innovation Week 2026
The presentation of the BioRegion Report was part of the Barcelona Health Innovation Week, held from February 16 to 20, 2026, an initiative dedicated to innovation, acceleration, technology, and transformation in the health sector.
Throughout the week, various BioRegion organizations hosted debates, webinars, and networking activities, among others, to highlight the potential and impact of Catalonia’s life sciences and health ecosystem.
