38 companies and organizations from the BioRegion of Catalonia to participate in BIO Convention in Boston
<p>The top global biotechnology fair brings together around 16,000 executives from 4 to 6 June</p>
A total of 38 Catalan companies and organizations will be participating in BIO Convention 2018, the top global biotechnology fair, held this year in Boston (United States) from 4 to 6 June. The Catalan delegation, coordinated by Biocat, makes up half of all of the Spanish companies participating in the fair, with 11 pharmaceutical corporations, 16 biotechnology firms, 2 service companies and 9 organizations and research entitites.
The Catalan delegation features pharmaceutical companies Almirall, ASCIL Biopharm Esteve, Ferrer Internacional, Gebro Pharma, GP Pharm, Grifols, Ipsen, Laboratorios Salvat, i LACER; biotechnology firms Acellera, Ahead Therapeutics, Archivel Farma, BCN Peptides, Bionure, Biokit, Cytes Biotechnologies, IDP Discovery Pharma, Iproteos, Nostrum Biodiscovery, Oryzon Genomics, ProteoDesign, Readycell, Spherium Biomed, Thrombotargets i ZeClinics; and consultancy and services companies BioSeed Capital i TrifermedCBDO.
There will also be 8 institutions and research entities participating: Biocat, Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG), Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute, Institute for Health Science Research Germans Trias i Pujol, Institute for Research in Biomedicine Barcelona (IRB), Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS), Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), Parc Científic de Barcelona (PCB) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
