The ‘Catalonia Health Innovation Ecosystem Pavilion’  will once again be a meeting point for health innovation in Catalonia at 4YFN, the most important international technology event for entrepreneurship, which will be held March 2 to 5, 2026 as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. 

The pavilion will be led by Biocat and the TIC Salut and Social Foundation, with support from the Government of Catalonia, Barcelona City Council, ACCIÓ, AQuAS, CatSalut, Catalan Institute of Health (ICS), Catalan Union of Hospitals (UCH), Catalan Health and Social Care Consortium (CSC), ACES, ACRA and the Catalan Third Social Sector Platform (M4Social). 

Within this space, 16 emerging startups will showcase disruptive solutions in digital health, medical technologies and advanced diagnostics.

  1. ABCDx: is developing mobile based diagnostic solutions using blood biomarkers, along with a proprietary Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) platform for validation and clinical use.
     
  2. AiMA beyond AI: provides personalized support and guidance through artificial intelligence applications focused on health and wellbeing. 
     
  3. ALLPRIV: is a cybersecurity company that seeks to simplify and centralize protection against external attacks, with solutions designed to safeguard critical environments, including medical devices. 
     
  4. Arkeobots designs care robots using artificial intelligence to accompany and support seniors, with the goal of improving social connection and combating loneliness.
     
  5. Bettso Corporation: is developing sound based experiences for hospitals and care facilities to improve mental health and wellbeing, helping reduce anxiety and boost patient satisfaction. 
     
  6. Chemotargets: is a biotech company that specializes in computational approaches to support drug discovery and development through analytical and data tools and services for safety assessment, drug repositioning and designing new molecules.
     
  7. COTINCLUSIVA offers a mobile app that connects people with technological or cognitive difficulties with their families through accessible technology and universal design.
     
  8. Debios Diagnostics: is developing noninvasive solutions for early detection and monitoring of diseases affecting the urinary system, enabling more personalized patient management. 
     
  9. Flomics Biotech: implements a test based on next generation sequencing of circulating cell-free RNA and machine learning techniques to detect diseases from a blood sample.
     
  10. Healthtech Innovations:  is developing solutions to improve surgical processes and patient experience, focusing on operational efficiency, safety and humanized care, including digital tools like virtual reality. 
     
  11. LogMeal has computer vision and artificial intelligence technology that can recognize food and analyze its nutritional value from images, with products and APIs applicable in healthcare, sports, restaurants and dietary monitoring.
     
  12. Lumiris Spectral Solutions: is developing an optical device for assisted reproduction professionals that helps select embryos with higher implantation potential through noninvasive capturing of their metabolic profile.
     
  13. MiMARK Diagnostics: focuses on women’s health, offering in vitro diagnostic solutions to improve management of gynecological diseases, with an initial focus on diagnosing endometrial cancer. 
     
  14. Polar NanoPharma: is an oncology focused biotechnology company developing nanomedicines and drug delivery systems to make treatments safer, more effective and more targeted. 
     
  15. Robopedics: operates in orthopedics and rehabilitation, offering technology to help people with post-stroke disabilities regain the ability to stand up and walk.
     
  16. Syncotech biocompatible materials: manufactures biomaterials and biocompatible solutions for medical use, including suturing and wound healing protocols, as well as R&D projects to create innovative devices and adhesives.

These companies were selected through an open public call that attracted numerous startups from around the BioRegion of Catalonia. Like last time, this year’s joint pavilion will also host a wide range of panel discussions and sessions with healthcare professionals.
